Stacker Trailers

Stacker Trailers

Stacker trailers can be a perfect fit in today’s competitive racing environment. What is a Stacker? The name implies exactly what it is. Stackers have an internal vehicle lift which allows 2 vehicles to be “Stacked” on top of each other. Usually they are pull-type trailers designed to be pulled behind a diesel motor coach or toter home. However some gooseneck trailers can be designed with the stacker concept as well.

With a purchase like this, your focus must be on more than getting from place to place, it has to be on quality that will last race after race and track after track. If you’re looking to purchase one of the many stackers on the market today, there are several things to consider before you purchase.

First, think about the size you’ll need. Obviously you need space to carry the vehicle, but what else needs to come with you? Transmissions, oil, engines, and fuels all need to factor into this equation.

Is your motor coach large enough to handle the weight of a fully loaded stacker? Bumper pull-type stackers can get pretty heavy after they are loaded up. Some as heavy as 20,000 plus pounds! Sometimes a gooseneck or 5th wheel type trailer pulled with a 1 ton pick-up or toter home could be the better choice for your racing style. These units allow you the freedom to leave the track more easily if your out for a long weekend and you have a break in the racing action.

Finding the right trailer to meet your needs will certainly make life on the circuit a bit easier.
